40年代〜50年代にかけてものと思われるイギリス軍ロイヤルネイビー(Royal Navy)キャンバスを解体、再構築したXLサイズトートバックになります。生地の状態は非常に良く、大きな穴、大きな汚れはありませんが、補修跡はあります。
なんと言っても鞄面に大きく入るこの文字ではないでしょうか？
“RM CDO MALTA”因みに裏にもレジメンタルマーキングと”PLYMOUTH BARRACKS”の文字が入ってます
地中海マルタ共和国に駐留していた時のものであることが見受けられます。

持ち手の革にはイタリアンベジタブルタンニングレザーを使用。幅18mm厚み4mmです。
鞄口を留めるホックにLift the Dot （亀の甲ホック）を使用。アメリカ製金具なので、閉じた時の音がいいですね。

ロイヤルネイビーキャンバスはその他RAF（イギリス空軍）よりも目にする機会が少ないかと思います。適度に汚れた状態のいいものなので、古着好きな方、個性的な鞄を探されている方、如何でしょ言うか？
